Moscow government is trying to increase bycicles' popularity. More and more people are into it, however Moscow is surely too big to fully replace other means of transport with bycicles. Anyway, people of all ages are buying bycicles and start cycling in parks on weekends and weekdays evenings.
I think it's a healthy way to spend your free time. Cycling makes the whole body work but it's not that hard as, for example, workout or gym. Besides it gives you a chance to be outside, to enjoy nice weather, to sunbathe and harden your body a bit.
Surely there's another good point - cycling gives an adrenaline buzz which in its turn brings bright emotions and much fun.
Nevertheless there are people who believe that cycling is a childish sport and is unappropriate for grown-up serious persons. I see many adults cycling every day and don't think they look ridiculous or childish. So I can't understand this point of view, maybe someone could explain me?
